Is awful when a team goes through a series of continuous losses, and for a good proof, we can ask the Detroit Lions, the worst team in NFL history.
That’s right, as by ending 0-16, the Lions came up with the worst possible result in a regular NFL season. No other team had done so badly before.
I just cannot imagine what was going through the minds of those players when they were 0-10, man! That was probably devastating, and then, picture them going to the field, with no motivation whatsoever and losing other 6 straight matches… I bet all three, the management staff, the coaching staff and the players, filled the pockets of drugstore owners after buying all possible anti-depressive medication available.
Now, that is on the team side, but what about the fans? Well, you can picture the depression kind-of-feeling all over Detroit when the season was over. Great, just one more ingredient to the sad moods product of an economy in bad shape! Or at least that is for most people, except for those die-hard fans of the Lions, whom don’t care if their team is qualified as the worst team in NFL history. The hardcore fans are the ones that are always there to bring a feeling of encouragement to the conflicted minds of the team’s players. Want a proof? I’ll give you one: recently, I saw on the news, a fan of the Lions who tattooed the symbol of the Lions and the phrase ‘0-16, Detroit Lions, 08/09 season’. Now, tell me if that is not a for-life fan right there or not.
Yes my friends, the Lions are still trying to recover from such tempestuous regular season record, but have no doubts that they will, at least, win a single match next year.
