Dukes is one of the main players for the Nationals, baseball critics are putting him among the future promises at the MLB, though, his bipolar mentality is what has kept him out of good deals, with only Washington showing an interest on him when he left the the Tampa Bay Rays.
Elijah has faced justice 6 times since 1998; the last incident took place last year, when he threated his wife and kids, and not long before that he got accused by a 17 year-old girl of getting her pregnant, but after an investigation, the police concluded that the sexual relationship was of mutual consentment.
Elijah Dukes played both baseball and basketball in college, and since he is the owner of a strong temper, it would have probably favored him more to go for a professional football career, though; he was encouraged by critics at the time to give baseball a chance.
He’s still an athlete in development, and it will truly be better for him to stay away from trouble if he wants to grab a good MLB contract in the future.
