Impressive NFL players of the past 25 years

With the NFL Season only a few weeks away, we need some statistics and facts to calm the anxiety created by the expectation. To help you guys with bearing the wait I have brought you a small review of some of the best NFL players of the past 25 years:

 

Steve Young: Named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of Super Bowl XXIX, Steve Young entered the NFL fresh out of the USFL and quickly became a backup to one of the greatest players in NFL history, Joe Montana. Among other achievements, he was selected as one of the most accurate and successful passers in NFL history and also holds the NFL record for highest career passer rating and won six NFL passing titles. During his career on the National Football League, he played for the San Francisco 49ers and for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

 

Peyton Manning: Well known as one of the best active quarterbacks in the NFL. Has played for the National Football League for 9 pro football seasons, during which he has won two NFL MVP awards and has not missed one single game. Manning was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 1998 and has become their most marketable player, signing endorses for very big and well known companies everywhere. Shortly after beginning his NFL career, Manning started the Peyback Foundation, created to help disadvantaged kids, and focuses its efforts in Louisiana, Tennessee, and Indiana.

 

Joe Montana: Montana started his NFL career in 1979 with the San Francisco 49ers, where he played quarterback (QB) for the next 14 seasons, yet, he spent he last two seasons playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. Also known as Joe Cool, Montana helped the 49ers get four Super Bowl titles from 1981-1989 and compiled a .713 winning percentage. Among his career highlights we can mention: “The Catch” (the game-winning TD pass vs. Dallas in the ‘82 NFC Championship Game) and a Super Bowl-winning 92-yd. drive vs. the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl XXIII.

 

Tom Brady: In 2001, Tom Brady entered the NFL playing for the New England Patriots as a back up quarterback, by the end of that season he was leading the
Patriots the first of three Super Bowl titles in four years. Because of his impressive performances both in the regular season and the postseason (1 NFL MVP, 2 Super Bowl MVPs), Tom Brady is widely regarded as one of the best NFL quarterbacks of his era.

 

Terry Bradshaw: Former American football quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Terry Bradshaw called his own plays as he led Pittsburgh to eight AFC Central titles during his 14-year career in the NFL. During NFL Super Bowl X following the 1975 season, Bradshaw threw for 209 yards, most of them to Swann, as the Steelers beat the Dallas Cowboys, 21-17.
